Welcome to

Highlight Vacations

Top-of-the-line educational traveling club and socialization program that organizes vacations, weekend getaways, and day activities for adults with Intellectual disabilities.

Our goal of the program is to get you a place to feel like you belong, while facilitating the development of appropriate traveling & socialization skills in a nurturing environment. The program is under the leadership of Mary E. Bozzone, Retired Technology Educator, PSIA Adaptive Instructor, and sibling to a special needs adult. Our staff are industry professionals, including teachers, social workers, and other health care providers with years of experience.

Day Trips

Enjoy a day of fun and educational sightseeing and learn about the many local landmarks or have an afternoon walking around our beautiful parks & bridges.

Multi-day Trips

We offer top-of-the-line vacations, weekend getaways, and sightseeing tours. Our vacations & getaways are open to everyone.

Activities

Events include everything from daytime walking tours, museums, and sporting events to lunch/dinner outings, parties, and the theatre.

Walk over the Brooklyn Bridge

October 27th at 11:30 am - 5:00 pm

Did you know? The Brooklyn Bridge is a hybrid cable-stayed/suspension bridge! Want to learn more about this iconic bridge spanning the East River. If you do, come join us as we walk across it and learn it's secrets. We will meet upstair, outside the Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall Station. All day trips have a $25 fee per traveler for administration cost. Bring lunch and water, (we will eat on the Brooklyn side)

November Teatime Social

November 14th at 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

We host a teatime social the second Thursday of each month. It is a great way to discuss what is important is the club and learn new skills. If you would like to join us, go to the homepage. Signup to receive the Meeting ID and Passcode and to be put on our mailing list.

Long Island Museum

November 16th at 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Come and learn about the history of Long Island through art, or check out a one-room schoolhouse from the 1877. Tickets are $15 for adults ($5 for disability+personal care assistants admitted free) All day trips have a $25 fee per traveler for administration cost.
