Come join us as we take a trip though history at the Green-Wood Cemetery. Established in 1838, it is one of America's first rural cemeteries. Come join us for a walking tour of the grounds as we work on our map skills to location famous people buried there or where the Battle of Brooklyn took place. Join us at the Battery Maritime Building at 10 South Street to take the ferry to Governor Island for an exploring this urban oasis in the harbor. We will walk around the National Monument and learn the history of the island, then have a picnic lunch. Bring your lunch and water, I will have snacks. The ferry is $4 around trip.
